Board of Education Members

Chaffee R-2 Board of Education members are elected to three-year terms.
At-large elections are held in April of each year.
The Board members make efforts to identify community opinions and
to be responsive to community concerns.
With the exception of executive sessions that are legally conducted within the parameters
of the "Missouri Open Meetings Act", all regular meetings, special meetings and
workshops of the Board of Education shall be open to the public.
Regular monthly meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month.

Notice of Vacancy for the Chaffee R-II Board of Education
(Declaration of Candidate for Nomination form and a letter of intent -- Deadline June 1, 2022 by 12:00 pm)

Notice is hereby given that the Chaffee R-II Board of Education has two vacancies for members of the Chaffee R-II Board of Education until June 2022. All applicants must meet qualifications provided by statute in that they are a citizen of the United States, a resident taxpayer of the school district who has resided in Missouri for one year preceding the election or appointment, and is at least 24 years of age.
Applicants should have never been found guilty of or pled guilty to a felony or misdemeanor under federal laws of the United States of America. Applicant should not be serving a sentence or period of probation for a felony or a crime that if committed in Missouri would be a felony. Applicants should have never pled guilty nor have been convicted under Missouri Law or the law of another jurisdiction of a felony connected with the exercise of the right of suffrage.
All applicants must submit a Declaration of Candidate for Nomination form and a letter of
intent, which will state their reasons for wishing to apply for the vacant Board of Education member position and give a short response.
The Declaration of Candidate for Nomination form can be filled out at the Superintendent's Office and letter of intent should be directed to:

Interviews are tentatively scheduled for June 28, 2022, depending upon availability.
